Reverend Nathan Rice received his Master of Divinity Degree from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, SC in 2005. Pastor Nathan grew up in Greenville and received his Bachelor of Education in Music from Shorter College in 2001. Pastor Rice began serving at St. Luke’s in January, 2014. In addition to his service at St. Luke’s, Pastor Nathan is the chair of the South Carolina Lutheran Outreach Network as well as serving on the board of the LowCountry Home of Hope Homeless Shelter.
Previous congregations before he came to St. Luke’s include: St. James Lutheran Church in Lexington, SC; and the Nittany/Sugar Valley Lutheran Parish in Loganton, PA, comprised of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mill Hall, Salona Lutheran Church, in Salona, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Loganton, and St. John’s Lutheran Church, Booneville.
