In the Spring of 2024, St. Luke’s was asked to help support the Jamestown Community Food Bank, run by Mr. and Mrs. Padgett. This couple receives monthly food from the Charleston Food Bank and serves 50-60 recipients monthly. The Padgetts have been paying for the utilities for the foodbank out of their own pocket. However, with rising utility costs, they are unable to continue to keep it going on their own. It is our hope that we can offer monthly assistance to keep their foodbank open, which feeds families with children, the elderly, and the local homeless population.
